TURKEY'S MILITARY SETS LIMITS TO EU REFORMS

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey's powerful military has set limits toreforms demanded by the European Union. The General Staff has expressed support for Ankara's bid to enter theEU, an issue which could be clarified during the EU summit in December. Butthe Turkish military brass has warned that it would refuse to fulfill EUdemands that the General Staff deemed would harm Turkey's interests in theAegean Sea and northern Iraq.
