ALGIERS CANCELS PARADE TO REDUCE TENSION WITH RABAT

CAIRO [MENL] -- Algeria has canceled its annual military parade in anattempt to reduce tensions with neighboring Morocco. Last week, President Abdul Aziz Bouteflika announced the cancellation ofthe military parade, meant to take place on Monday. The parade was to havecommemorated 50 years of independence from France.
