UAE AWARDS MISSILE CONTRACT TO RAYTHEON

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates has awarded a contract forthe procurement of U.S.-origin ship-based missile launchers. Abu Dhabi Ship Building Co. has awarded Raytheon a contract forSeasparrow missile launchers for the Al Baynunah project. The contract callsfor Raytheon to provide the Seasparrow launchers for four French-origincorvettes ordered by the UAE Navy.
