U.S. TO SUPPORT KUWAIT'S JET ENGINES

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has decided to grant jet enginesupport for Kuwait's fleet of American-origin combat aircraft. The Defense Department has awarded an $8.5 million award to GeneralElectric Aircraft Engines for support of the F404engine. The F404 engine has been installed in Kuwait's fleet of F/A-18aircraft. Kuwait has about 40 such aircraft.
