IRAN COULD PRODUCE NUCLEAR BOMB IN 2005
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- A leading Pentagon-funded think tank has determinedthat Iran could be as little as a year away from producing its first nuclearbomb. The report by the Washington-based Nuclear Nonproliferation PolicyEducation Center provided the harshest assessment yet of Iran's nuclearweapons program. The report, partly funded by the Pentagon, also reviewedU.S. responses to Iran's program, but ruled out a military strike.
