SAUDIS DISAPPOINTED BY AL YAMAMAH
LONDON [MENL] -- Saudi Arabia was said to be disappointed by theeconomicramifications of a multi-billion dollar weapons program led by Britain. Amnesty International and Oxfam said in a report that Riyad failedto receive the offset benefits of Al Yamama, which brought $46 billion infighter-jets and naval vessels to the kingdom. The two organizationssaid in a report that Al Yamamah produced far more jobs for Westernexpatriatesthan for Saudi nationals.
