ARAB BANK SUED FOR $875M FOR TERROR FINANCING

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- A leading Arab financial institution based in Jordanhas been sued for $875 million on charges of financing Palestinianinsurgency attacks on Americans and Israelis. A group of relatives of American and Israeli victims of Palestinianattacks have submitted an $875 million lawsuit in federal district court inManhattan against the Amman-based Arab Bank. The group alleges that theJordanian bank has transferred funds to such insurgency groups as Hamas andIslamic Jihad.
