YEMEN ADVANCES IN OFFENSIVE AGAINST REBELS

CAIRO [MENL] -- Yemen reported advances in the drive against rebels in thenorth. Yemeni military sources reported heavy fighting as combat units reachedthe last strongholds of Hussein Badruddin Al Houthi in the Saada province.The sources said about 100 people have been killed over the last three daysamid heavy resistance by Al Houthi's forces, estimated about 3,000. In allmore than 300 people have been killed since the insurgency began on June 18.
