A-JAZEERA ANNOUNCES CODE OF ETHICS

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The leading satellite television channel in the MiddleEast, under heavy criticism from the United States, has announced a code ofethics to ensure balanced reporting. A-Jazeera released the code of ethics during the closing session of amedia conference in Qatar on July 12. The Doha-based television has beenaccused by the United States of promoting the insurgency against theU.S.-led coalition in Iraq.
