TURKEY TAKEN TO COURT OVER MISSILE DEAL

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey was bracing to be sued in the International Courtof Arbitration on charges of violating a major weapons contract. The Turkish Defense Ministry has been informed that Ankara will be suedfor nearly $500 million in compensation for the cancellation of the Eryxshort-range anti-missile project. The plaintiff will be France's MBDA, whichwas the prime contractor and manufacturer of the missile.
