LOOTERS PLAY ROLE IN IRAQI PIPELINE STRIKES

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Iraq's oil pipeline has been plagued by looters. A new report said looters have comprised one of two groups that targetedthe Iraqi pipeline and other oil facilities. The report by theWashington-based Brookings Institution asserts that the looters were part ofasmuggling network that included nationals from Iran, Syria and Turkey.
