GREECE INCREASES SURVEILLANCE OVER MUSLIMS

ATHENS [MENL] -- Greece has significantly increased monitoring over itsMuslim community as part of security preparations for the Olympic Games. Greek officials said the effort has focused on the Muslim community inAthens. They said the surveillance was being conducted by Greece as well asWestern intelligence agencies that represent countries who have advisedAthens on Olympic security. These nations have been led by the United Statesand include Australia, Britain and Israel.
