ELBIT, GERMAN FIRM TEAMS TO ENTER EUROPE

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's largest non-government defense contractor hasteamed with a German company for the development of unmanned air vehiclesfor the European market. Israel's Elbit Systems and Germany's OHB-Systems AG have agreed toestablish a joint venture to develop and marketelectro-optical systems and infrared payloads for the Western Europeanmarket. Executives said the payloads were meant to be deployed both in spaceand UAVs.
