U.S. SENDS IED ROBOTS TO IRAQ
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. Army has sent robots to detect and foilroadside bombs in Iraq. The army will receive at least 150 robots capable of inspecting,detecting and neutralizing improvised explosive devices in Iraq. About adozen of the unmanned vehicles have been deployed in Iraq and the rest willarrive during May in a procurement effort reported at $1.6 billion.
