U.S. ARMY PLEASED WITH STRYKER IN IRAQ

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. Army appears satisfied with the performance ofthe new Stryker combat brigade deployed in Iraq. Army officials said the service's first Stryker Brigade Combat Team withthe 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division has operated according to expectationin Iraq. They said the high grade has ensured the continuation of a plan todeploy an additional three Stryker brigades. The second Stryker brigadeplans to begin operations by August and a third brigade will receive thevehicle in May.
