KUWAIT SEEKS RECONNAISSANCE SATELLITE

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Kuwait has been examining the prospect of obtaining areconnaissance satellite for both civilian and military applications. Kuwaiti sources said the sheikdom has been exploring the feasibility ofobtaining either a reconnaissance satellite or the services of an existingfacility for a range of missions. The sources said this would include bothcivilian applications, such as environmental monitoring, as well as militaryapplications.
