GCC, NATO EXAMINE PARTNERSHIP

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- NATO has launched an effort to cooperate with Gulf Arabstates on regional security. NATO and Gulf Cooperation Council officials said the alliance hasrelayed a cooperation proposal tothe GCC that would include intelligence exchange, training in military anddefense organization as well as help in identifying weapons of massdestruction. They said NATO has also proposed a strategic dialogue with thesix-member GCC.
