TURKEY THREATENS TO SUSPEND FRENCH MISSILE PROJECT

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey has threatened to suspend plans to co-produce aFrench-originanti-tank missile. Turkish industry sources said the Defense Ministry and General Staffhave decided to review plans to co-produce the Eryx anti-tank missile. Theysaid the General Staff has determined that the short-range anti-armor Eryxguided missile did not meet the military's requirements regarding range andaccuracy.
