UAE MILITARY PLANS SATELLITE BUY

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates plans to procure a spysatellite. UAE officials said the Defense Ministry has been examining a range ofsatellite platforms for the military. They said the satellite was meant toprovide high-resolution remote-sensing image capability to monitor theentire Gulf region as well as neighboring states such as Iran and Iraq.
