Israel Could Better Resist Obama In 2010
TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel was expected to resist pressure by a
politically-declining U.S. President Barack Obama in 2010, a report said.
The report by the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies asserted that
Obama would be in a much weaker position to pressure Israel in late 2010.
Authored by Max Singer, the report cited expectations of a U.S.
confrontation with Iran and the decline of the American economy, which could
hamper Obama's efforts to extend Israel's commitment to halt Jewish
construction in the West Bank.
