TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's military has been directed to prepare for
another conflict with the Hamas regime.
Officials said Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Ehud
Barak have agreed to reinforce troops along the Israeli border with the Gaza
Strip as well as refurbish systems to warn of Palestinian missile strikes.
They said the military was preparing for both air and ground strikes in the
Gaza Strip to counter Hamas mortar and missile attacks.
"I have no doubt that the situation between us and Hamas is that before
an unavoidable clash," Olmert said. "It is merely a question of time and not
if [there is a conflict]."
