U.S. Sends $100m In Military Aid To Lebanon

NICOSIA [MENL] -- The United States has informed Lebanon that it would
receive $100 million in military and security assistance over the next few
months.
Officials said the administration of President Barack Obama has drafted
guidelines for the transfer of the U.S. aid to Beirut. They said the
military and security help, which amounted to about $200 million over the
last two months, would be linked to the deployment of the Lebanese Army and
security forces, particularly in the south.
