NATO Mission In W. Bank Likely To Fail

JERUSALEM [MENL] -- A proposed NATO mission to secure the borders between
Israel and any future Palestinian state was likely to fail, a report said.
A report by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs warned that a NATO
mission would be targeted by Islamist and other elements in the West Bank.
Titled "Will an IDF Withdrawal from the West Bank Mean a Safe Haven for
Extremist Groups?" the report said troops from the Western alliance could
find themselves operating in a failed Palestinian state with a significant
insurgency presence.
