New PA Units Excel In Anti-Crime Ops

RAMALLAH [MENL] -- Palestinian Authority battalions trained in Jordan were
said to have excelled in anti-crime operations in the West Bank.
Israeli and PA security sources said the four PA battalions that
concluded a four-month course in the U.S.-financed International Police
Center outside Amman developed excellent skills. The battalions have been
deployed in anti-crime operations in such West Bank cities as Hebron, Jenin
and Tulkarm.
"They have displayed the skills to move rapidly as a unit," a security
source said.
