Israel Develops Robots For CI Missions
TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel has developed a robot designed for
counter-insurgency missions.
Researchers at Ben-Gurion University have developed a robot that could
scale walls and peek into the upper floors of a building. The robot, the
size of a toy, was designed to enable the Israeli military and police to
facilitate hostage rescue.
"The robot with claws climbs the wall like a cat climbs a rough-textured
wall," Amir Shapira, head of the robot project, said.
