U.S. Muslims Seek Khaddafy Support
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- U.S. Muslims have sought financial support from Libyan
ruler Moammar Khaddafy.
At least one leading Muslim group solicited Khaddafy for funds. In 2009,
the Council on American-Islamic Relations asked the Libyan ruler for what
was estimated to be tens of millions of dollars to distribute one million
copies of the Koran to Americans, particularly government officials.
