Saudis, Germany Enhance Security Ties

LONDON [MENL] -- Germany and Saudi Arabia have launched an effort to
significantly enhance security cooperation.
Diplomatic sources said Berlin and Riyad have agreed to work together in
a range of security issues, including counter-insurgency, intelligence
exchange and border protection. They said the German government has ended
its weapons embargo on the Saudi kingdom despite protests from the
parliamentary opposition in Berlin.
