S. Korea Seeks Israeli Radar On Air Trainer
LONDON [MENL] -- South Korea has been negotiating for the acquisition of an
Israeli radar as part of the development of a light attack jet.
Industry sources said South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program
Administration has decided to procure a fire control radar from the
state-owned Israel Aerospace Industries. The sources said Seoul would acquire the
EL/M-2032 from IAI subsidiary Elta Systems.
"We believe this is the best radar available for our needs," an industry
source said.
