Egypt Plays Down Sinai Attacks

CAIRO [MENL] -- Egypt has sought to play down Palestinian attacks in the
Sinai Peninsula as well as neighboring Israel.
Officials said Hamas-aligned attacks in eastern and southern Sinai have
not affected the rest of the Egyptian peninsula. They said Egyptian security
forces were protecting the large number of tourists in the area.
