Rebels Urged To Secure Libyan WMD
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has been quietly working with rebels
to secure weapons of mass destruction stockpiles in Libya.
Officials said U.S. representatives have been working with the rebel
National Transitional Council to search Libya for WMD stockpiles. They said
the council was being requested to allow U.S. government experts to inspect
facilities of the former regime of Libyan Col. Moammar Khaddafy for chemical
weapons, particularly mustard gas.
