Hamas Prepares PLO Takeover

JERUSALEM [MENL] -- Hamas plans to take control of the Palestine Liberation
Organization in the guise of reconciliation with the Fatah movement, a
report said.
The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs asserted that Hamas abandoned
previous conditions in an effort to win control of the PLO. In a report by a
retired Israeli intelligence officer, the center said Hamas has assessed that
it could win elections for both the PLO as well as the Palestinian Authority
over the next year.
