Assad Could Last Into 2013

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The regime of President Bashar Assad could survive well
into 2013.
A leading analyst asserted that Assad maintains the loyalty of the
military and security forces amid the revolt in Syria. The analyst, Joshua
Landis, said the Syrian opposition, despite support from Arab and other
countries, remains divided.
