Despite Revolts, Mideast Still Arms Market

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Despite revolts throughout the Arab world, the
Middle East remains a major weapons market.
A leading U.S. consultant asserted that unrest that spans North Africa
to the Gulf has not harmed military procurement. Forecast International said
the Middle East continues to account for at least 20 percent of global
weapons imports amid military modernization programs.
