Iraq Plans To Restrict Security Firms

BAGHDAD [MENL] -- Iraq plans to impose severe restrictions on foreign-owned
or -operated security companies.
Officials said the government of Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki intends
to restrict the activities of security contractors in wake of the U.S.
military withdrawal from Iraq in December 2011. They said the
government was determined to reduce the security sector and its freedom to
operate.
