Assad Lacks Troops For Nationwide Ops
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- President Bashar Assad, one year into the revolt, has
failed to mobilize sufficient forces for a nationwide counter-insurgency
campaign in Syria, a report said.
The Institute for the Study of War asserted that Assad's military and
security forces cannot conduct major operations throughout Syria. As a
result, the military has been forced to move forces from one rebel-held area
to another.
