Russia Remains Loyal To Assad

JERUSALEM [MENL] -- After a year of the Sunni revolt, Russia remains loyal
to the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, a report said.
The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs asserted that the Kremlin was
stepping up military aid to the Assad regime in hope that it could crush the
rebellion. The center, in a report titled "Is the Wind Turning in Favor of
Assad?" said Russia was determined not to lose another ally in the Middle
East in wake of the fall of the regime of Col. Moammar Khaddafy in Libya in
2011.
