IRGC Brigade Helps Assad

LONDON [MENL] -- Iran has sent elite military units to rescue the regime of
Syrian President Bashar Assad.
A leading Syrian opposition member said Iran's Islamic Revolutionary
Brigade Corps has deployed thousands of troops in Syria. Brig. Gen. Hussam
Awak, a defector from Syrian Air Force Intelligence, said IRGC has
maintained an armored brigade that was working with Assad's military and
security forces against Sunni rebel strongholds.
