Turkey Drafts Naval Strategy

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Turkey has drafted a strategy to enhance maritime
security.
Officials said the Turkish Navy has drafted plans to expand operations
amid a shrinking defense budget. They said the strategy calls for more
efficient surface vessels, smaller crews and greater use of Turkey's
shipyards.
