New Rebel Group Emerges In Syria
LONDON [MENL] -- An unknown rebel group has claimed responsibility for
mass-casualty strikes in Damascus.
A group called Al Nusra Front to Protect the Levant said it conducted a
series of suicide car explosions in Damascus in mid-March. The group, which
some in the Syrian opposition accused of being founded by the regime of
President Bashar Assad, said it attacked Syrian Air Force intelligence and
other government facilities.
