U.S. Seeks AAM Sales To Mideast

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. military has sought to sell advanced
air-to-air missiles to the Middle East.
Officials said the U.S. Navy was supporting the sale of advanced
missiles to Middle East militaries. They said the focus was the AIM-9
Sidewinder short-range, air-to-air missile, introduced in the Middle East
around 2005.
