Algeria Orders German Warships

LONDON [MENL] -- Algeria has ordered warships from Germany.
Industry sources said the Algerian Defense Ministry has signed a
contract with Germany's ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems. They said the contract,
signed on March 26, stipulated the delivery of two Meko-class warships for
the Algerian Navy in a deal reported at 2.1 billion euro.
