UK Reports SAM Removal In Libya

LONDON [MENL] -- The British military has concluded a mission to find and
dismantle shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles in Libya.
The British Defense Ministry oversaw a project to find thousands of
missing Russian-origin SA-7 air defense systems from the arsenal of the late
Col. Moammar Khaddafy. The ministry reported that 5,000 SA-7s were secured
in cooperation with a U.S. Marine Corps team.
