U.S. Military Promotes M.E. Sales

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. military has been promoting weapons exports
to the Middle East amid plans for massive cuts in the Defense Department
budget for 2013.
Officials said the military and the Pentagon were pushing for arms and
satellite exports to compensate for massive cuts in the defense budget. They
said intensified exports would maintain production lines amid reduced orders
by the U.S. military.
