U.S. Seeks Non-Lethal UAVs
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. military has drafted a proposal for the
development of an unmanned aerial vehicle that could disable rather than
kill a target.
The army has proposed a UAV that could hover over an area until a human
target appears. The unmanned platform, which could be used for law
enforcement and border security, would then dive into the person, disabling
but not killing him.
