U.S. Allies Question Iraq Stability
LONDON [MENL] -- Middle East allies of the United States have been
questioning arms sales to Iraq amid increasing influence by neighboring
Iran.
Western diplomats said the administration of President Barack Obama has
received messages of concern by U.S. allies in the Middle East over
stability in Iraq. They said some of the messages warned that the export
of advanced U.S. combat platforms to Iraq could come under the control of
the mullah regime in Teheran.
