Obama Supports Armed UAVs To Turkey

ANKARA [MENL] -- President Barack Obama was said to support the export of
armed unmanned aerial vehicles to Turkey.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul said his U.S. counterpart was seeking to
sell UAVs to Ankara in an effort to bolster its counter-insurgency
capabilities. Gul, who met Obama on May 21, said the U.S. administration was
trying to persuade Congress to support the sale.
