Syria On Verge Of Financial Collapse

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has determined that Syria was on the
verge of financial collapse.
Officials said the regime of President Bashar Assad was unable to
provide basic services to Syria amid a Sunni revolt and international
sanctions. They said Assad was reaching the end of his foreign currency
reserves despite aid from Iran and Russia.
