Congress Moves To Ease U.S. Sat Exports
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Congress has been moving to approve legislation that
would expand U.S. satellite exports, including to the Middle East.
The House has passed an amendment to the 2013 defense authorization bill
that would significantly ease U.S. satellite exports. The voice vote on May
17 transferred commercial satellite exports from the U.S. Munitions List to
that of the less restricted Commerce Control List.
