U.S. Sets Up Base In Mauritania

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States was said to have established a secret
military base in Mauritania.
Officials said the U.S. military was quietly expanding its military
presence throughout North Africa and the Sahel. They cited plans to
establish military bases in such countries as Mauritania and South Sudan
over the next two years.
