Abbas's Sons Run W. Bank Monopolies
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The eldest son of Palestinian Authority Chairman
Mahmoud Abbas operates a series of lucrative monopolies in the West Bank, a
report said.
A report published in Foreign Policy magazine asserted that Abbas's son,
Yasser, has locked the market on the sale of American cigarettes in the West
Bank. The report, authored by Jonathan Schanzer, said Yasser also received
at least one contract from the U.S. government for a sewage system in the
southern West Bank city of Hebron.
